I installed LMDE Cinnamon, but, it kept saying it crashed with my TV monitor.
I managed to change the desktop to MATE, and everything worked fine. So, now, when the next upgrade comes around, will I be able to use the MATE LMDE DVD?

when next UP comes you can continue using your system without reinstalling your system. the answer is yes.
