how can i restore system

i have a problem in updating my system. first i do not hve this problem but one time in the middle of updatting i forced to shutdown the laptop and after that whenever i try to update the system, it freeses.
now how can i solve this proble?
and is it possible to restore my system to previous good status?

Can you share the output of the following two commands? Please run from the terminal. Probably either the first or the second will give an error, which we can than try to resolve.
