Update Manager not updating

Installed LMDE after a bit of a hiatus from Linux. I changed my sources to point to debian.linuxmint.com instead of debian.org and installed the update to Update Manager. Now I have a big list of updates to install. When I click install a window pops up showing a list of additional packages that will be removed or installed. I click Ok to this and the Update Manager window just pops right back up having made no changes. How can I fix this?
