Not only the memory usuage went up to 230M from 150M after boot, gnome-shell runs so buggy in virtualbox. Random crashes, white screen, blue screen, sluggish performance. It's barely usable.
And the mint look&feel is gone.
I know there is a fall-back mode, but I can't get rid of the the two thick top panel and bottom panel. and the fallback mode doesn't help the mem usage problem either.
Anything I can do to improve this? I assume I can't go back to before gnome-shell?
