LMDE updating looks weird? Ign = failed or?

Could anyone please comment or help...I can't remember the last time my system had the option to update anything and now I'm feeling paranoid that something is not sitting right...

Does Ign mean "ignore" and is that equivalent to Fail? Is this healthy?

Don't worry, your sources.list is ok and your update messages are ok too. The mint sources are frozen since month, no
updates available. A change will come, when gnome 3.2 will be available in testing.

Yes, "ignore:" the remote package lists haven't changed compared to your local cache (i.e., no updates are available), so there's nothing to download. Perfectly healthy.

(If you're curious, the files are in /var/lib/apt/lists/.)

"Err" (error) indicates a problem.

LMDE won't have any updates in the "linuxmint" repositories until the team releases Update Pack 4. They're waiting for GNOME 3.2 to pass through Debian testing; this will be a major change.

Thanks to the both of you for your input! I'm relaxed now.

I understand...the idea of Gnome 3.2 heading our way leaves me feeling squeamish so I'm hoping they'll bring KDE 4.7 to lmde soon. Could change repositories but I'd just as soon not.
