LMDE - Flash in fast forward

Postby flebber on Mon Apr 30, 2012 6:36 am

Hi I have a bizarre problem with LMDE and firefox playing web video in fast forward. Yes fast forward. It's firefox 11. I have flashplayer-mozilla
installed. I have a radeon 5650 installed and have installed fglrx.

This is my java
Code: Select all
sayth@minted ~ $ java -version
java version "1.6.0_24"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea6 1.11.1) (6b24-1.11.1-3)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.0-b12, mixed mode)

I went to youtube and the video plays as if in fast forward so I went to another site to see if it was specific to youtube, I went to metacafe and the same thing occurs.

Never had anything like this before any suggestions?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Okay I resolved it. I followed these instructions from tdockerty

Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install build-essential cdbs fakeroot dh-make debhelper debconf libstdc++6 dkms libqtgui4 wget execstack libelfg0 module-assistant

then
Code: Select all
aticonfig -intial -f

For a complete novice like me, can I please ask where this code is to be added? Thank you so much.
