No new updates in a while ..LMDE latest version

Postby aweir on Tue May 01, 2012 6:34 pm

I installed LMDE and updated it after I installed it, but there have been no new updates in over 5 days. I'm concerned my updater is not working. How can I know if there is a problem or if there simply isn't any updates?
Main, upstream, and import are all selected in the preferences.

mint 12 usually had updates every day or two.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

The majority of LMDE updates come from the update packs. There is a new one every few months or so. The Mint tools get updated when there is a need. If you want updates more often, you can set your sources to Debian testing, but you are at a greater risk for breakage. If you are concerned about timely security updates, the main edition of Mint might be a better fit for you.
