Hi folks !
I didn't know where to post this so finally here ! Feel free to move it to a better category if necessary.
I'm a debian user for quite a long time (use lxde / wicd), and for the same reasons as many wanted to try LMDE (more userfriendly, but keep the strong of Debian).
Previously I tried to upgrade from a tuto which suggested some pinning (in the /etc/apt/preferences), and some lines added to the sources.list, but I had some issues. Finally, I decided to start it from scratch, downloaded the lastest LMDE edition (the one with MATE and Cinnamon). But I found this installed gnome with network manager, wich is too big for my eeepc.
I wanted to replace gnome-network-manager by wicd, then switch from gnome to lxde. I discovered gnome-network-manager has its different name, and is integrate to cinnamon.
So this is the question: which way would be the best to have a debian lmde'ed tasted with lxde/wicd installed ?
