If you can create another partition of say 20 GB or you have an external drive/USB maybe even a 16 GB stick then look at this one

Instead of an installable ISO it zips up all your drive but if you need to reinstall you either need a second linux OS or you can use the rescue iso, I put it togethet so you can blame me if it's crap.
I did it last January and I can't remember if I did a video or not.
If it works for you make a post on that thread so other folk will see it a bit easier Gerd put a lot of effort into it.
This forum is the pits for finding anything, badly in need of reorganizing, good friendly community tho.

I forgot to mention that if you install a backup to a different partition on the same machine you will have 2 partitions with the same UUID which will cause problems.I use the standard video drivers and I have restored backups to a different machine without any problems.
There is a dd command line to change the UUID but I haven't found it yet and manuals are beyond this old fart.
