Converting from ubuntu edition to debian one

Postby linux-newbie on Sat Jul 21, 2012 5:43 pm

Hello,

I have the ubuntu mint edition installed atm but I'd like to use the debian testing one, any ideas what should I be doing? i.e change my repo's in sources.list to debian ones or what?
P.S: I don't want to reinstall it just for that, I want to keep my packages etc, apparently my connection is slow.

Thanks in advance.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

you need to reinstall. there's no upgrade path between the 2. they are 2 completely different beasts.
