[SOLVED] Touchpad stopped working

Hello.

I don't normally use the touchpad, but yesterday I didn't have a USB mouse so I used the touchpad, but it wasn't working I've tried everything in this thread: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 1&t=100450 but nothing has worked. The gpointing-device-settings doesn't even know I have a touchpad, in fact, when I use one of the methods I get this:

Code: Select all

synclient TouchpadOFF=1
Couldn't find synaptics properties. No synaptics driver loaded?
And yes I have the Synaptics package installed, the system is up to date, and when I installed the OS I remember the touchpad worked.

I'm using Linux Mint Debian (64-bit) (Cinammon) on a Dell Vostro 1510.

Any ideas? I'll really appreciate any help you can provide me.

Oh, I just reinstalled xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and restarted the computer. Now everything works perfectly.

So, thank you anyway.
