Hi!
I wish to set up a new LMDE on my raid0 computer.
Then with LMDE installer, no raid0 possible, that's not cool...
So I'll use the Debian netinstall (testing distrib), and after that is it possible to put some depositories or something like that to upgrade this Debian to a LMDE easilly ?
Thx for help.
ps: plz think of a raid compatible installer for next release

You might want to look at this thread: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... 7&t=101438
Setup your desktop environment first, then change the /etc/apt/sources.list
Next create the /etc/apt/preferences file as given in the post, and modify the /etc/lsb-release as given and follow the rest of the instructions.
It is always better to search and see if someone else has already solved your problem.

Re: Debian netinstall > LMDE, possible ?
i wouldn't advise to go that route: the netinstall you want to use will pull newer packages than lmde has at the moment; you will find yourself first in a dependency hell and then/if you solve it the stability of the system would be severely affected.
i would use this http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/#netinst-stable and then follow the guide linked above

Re: Debian netinstall > LMDE, possible ?
Tried with Debian Stable netinstall,
XFCE desktop as in the tuto...
Changed the sources.list
update
Nothing to update/upgrade, and if I try to install MATE, a lot of dependencies are missing (tried to install them individually, but always others dependencies...)
So, I think it's not a nice way to get around the weakness of the non-raid Mint installer :'(

Re: Debian netinstall > LMDE, possible ?
One more thing which you can try, is to set up your RAID array and partitions you wish to use with LMDE, then install LMDE from the LMDE installation medium.
