install intel graphics driver

hello lmde users!

i've made a install of lmde on a netbook, an asus-x101ch. now i got a 800x600 resolution. how do i install the intel graphics driver? the ubuntu based version have the aditional drivers app to help on this but, what to do on lmde?

do you ever managed to make this driver work in the ubuntu-based editions?
as far as i can see the comp you are using has Atom N2600/CedarTrail and unfortunately (for now with the kernel available in lmde) it doesn't work
one workaround is (probably) using liquorix
http://liquorix.net/
you will get newer and debian compatible kernels

on mint cinnamon\mate\kde versions the additional drivers app did say it installed and was using 2 proprietary drivers, and o got a 1024x600 resolution. i'll have a look on those topics.
