Hi all,

I tried to install a program (caffeine) before realisng I have no idea what I'm doing. Whenever I try to install or remove something, I end up with the following error:

/usr/bin/mandb: can't open /usr/local/share/man/man1/caffeine.1.gz: Permission denied


Can anyone tell me how to resolve this?

You always have to be admin (first user created) or root to manage install/removal of programs..

Thanks, this is done as root with sudo. Is there a way to find out what it's trying to do and edit it manually or something? Or manually run the command?
