Hi,
I've installed LMDE and have updated to UP6. I want to get rid of the desktop icons but turning them off in Cinnamon Settings has no effect. Even though all the items are unchecked, I still have Computer, home and mounted disk icons on the desktop.
Can anyone tell me what I need to do, please?

Edit: A reboot fixed it.
