create a 20G boot
partition as you have not mentioned the root
partition at all! As I tried to point out in my post above, a boot
partition is not required on a normal installation as the /boot directory is actually part of the root
/ tree. As such, it is normal to create just a root
partition (/), a swap
partition and a home
(/home) partition. No separate boot partition is needed.
I am also puzzled by your user name (tlcmd) as the original poster for this thread is merryoakparker and yet you both seem to have similar hardware and have used similar (boot!) terminology. Are you using two usernames?
