gnome-photo-printer

Postby rmockler on Wed Oct 09, 2013 12:57 pm

I Installed gnome-photo-printer from Synaptic on my Linux Mint 13, Mate edition on my desktop computer. I have LMDE 201303, Mate edition on my laptop, and gnome-photo-printer is NOT in Synaptic. I looked for mate-photo-printer also, but no banana there either. I use the app frequently to print multiple photos on one sheet of photo paper, number of photos based on size of finished photo. It works so well, is it now gone forever?
Thanks, Richard

Monsta: Thanks for the info. Not good news, guess I'll be spending more time on Mint 13 on the desktop. Either that or kiss LMDE goodby and replace it on the laptop with Mint 13. After Update Pack 7 went in so cleanly, I was seriously thinking about replacing Mint 13 on the desktop with LMDE, but definitely not now.

SOLUTION: In case anyone looking at my original post is interested in my workaround, I solved the problem by doing a complete reinstall of LMDE Mate 201303 and immediately installed gnome-photo-printer while it was still in the repositories. Then I did all the subsequent updating to get my system up to date, and the installed program survived just fine. Previously, I had installed 201303, did all the updates, and then tried to install gnome-photo-printer, and it did not appear in my search of synaptic.
