I am using Linux Mint Debian Edition, 64-bit. The motherboard is an Intel DQ965GF.
Every time that I kill X (CTRL+ALT+F1), I get the following message repeated every few seconds on the screen:
mei_me 0000:00:03.0 reset: connect/disconnect timeout.
While I was installing some software via the Terminal I also got the following message over and over again:
mei_me 0000:00:03.0 unexpected reset: dev_state = RESETTING
What can I do to solve this problem?

Re: connect/disconnect timeout
This looks like a general kernel problem, not LMDE-specific.
A quick googling showed me a couple of links about it:

I'm sure you'll find the answer in at least one of them.
