(solved)Cinnamon error...

Postby joemartin on Thu Jan 09, 2014 7:14 am

I currently run Debian Wheezy but I am posting this in your forums because Debian forums have been zero help and I am hoping I reach a Cinnamon expert...

Installed Cinnamon and I am now receiving this blocked update in Wheezy...

1 update available (blocked)

Opus codec runtime library
libopus)-1.1 -beta-3mint1 (64-bit)

I believe I have to install a libc6 dependency greater than 2.14 but when I looked in Jessie, Sid repos was not able to install the amd64 options.

I then went to Synaptic and to see if I could add/delete a possible package to make this work and get rid of error...

To correct it it's saying that it needs to remove integral dependencies like Nemo, Cheese, etc. which I do not want to have happen. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Looks like someone told you to add packages.linuxmint.com to your sources list in order to install Cinnamon; that's fine, but that person forgot to tell you to remove the entry after Cinnamon is installed. :)
