(SOLVED) lmde has just been released can i just upgrade?

hello i am running mint lmde and i saw on distrowatch that lmde 2014 has just been released,i did an upgrade but is that good enough or should i download and reinstall it?

if you're on UP8 then there's no reason to install the new iso :3

LMDE is a rolling release; you never need to reinstall. Just upgrade to each update pack as it is released. The new LMDE ISO has UP8, which you can check in your Update Manager whether you are on that as well (you should). Announcement of UP8: http://blog.linuxmint.com/?p=2544
