LMDE no Login Manager

Postby Algeorge on Sat Jun 07, 2014 10:45 pm

Hi if I go to admin there is no login screen settings, only users and no checkbox to login on boot.
It used to be there but maybe the more recent updates have removed it I dont know.

Anyone help?
Thanks,
Alistair.

Admin user is not meant to be a desktop user, but you can login as root via single mode. To the single mode you get by editing linux line, removing ro quiet splash and adding rw single

mine says:
ro pci=routeirq elevator=as quiet splash

would it be safe to change to
rw single ro pci=routeirq elevator
or
ro pci=routeirq elevator
