<SOLVED>Disk (utility) equivalent

I'm a recent move-over from Rebecca and Kali Linux (and a little playing with Wheezy) and in Rebecca there was a tool called Disks that was a graphical disk editor. I could format disks or mount hidden partitions from it. Both Kali and Wheezy had a close equivalent called Disk Utility that I also used. Now with LMDE I can't find any equivalent to these. Is there one, and how can I get it?
Note: I did prefer Disks in Rebecca to Disk Utility in Kali and Wheezy, so if I would prefer to get it if possible.

As far as I remember gnome-disk-utility is in LMDE-repos. You just have to install it.#
I have no idea about the difference between disks and disk-utility. For future posts it would be helpful to add the name of the DE used.

gnome-disk-utility is either called Disks or Disk Utility; it's renamed to Disks in recent GNOME releases, and was called Disk Utility on older GNOME releases. It's the same program, Disks is just newer.

I was referring to the fact that the current LMDE is dead, there will be no more update packs. There will be a new LMDE called Betsy some time next year but it will neither roll nor be based on Debian Testing.

Ok, I was wondering since I noticed that you use LMDE yourself. I can deal with LMDE not being updated. Mint 17 was so slow on my (old) machine, even with xfce. LMDE with Cinnamon is so much faster, and so far I've had no real problems with it, other than trouble extraction .tar.gz files from the GUI.
Now, is it possible to add, say, "deb http://ftp.au.debian.org testing main non-free contrib" or whatever the source is to my sources.list and have LMDE semi-based on Jessie?

I wrecked my LMDE-installation trying to track Testing, but maybe Mate got its dependencies solved by now. The better way in my opinion is to do a fresh install of Debian Testing and add the mintmenu, Mint's other tools are not important to me. As LMDE 2 will be based on Stable there is no use to cling to LMDE if you want to track Testing anyway. But it is somewhat unclear whether you want to track Testing or Jessie, which currently is the same but won't be for long.

• If your sources list says deb http://ftp.au.debian.org testing main non-free contrib you will track Debian Testing (currently Jessie, soon Stretch, then Buster)
• If your sources list says deb http://ftp.au.debian.org jessie main non-free contrib you will track Jessie (currently Testing, soon Stable, then Oldstable).

I don't use Cinnamon so I can't tell you whether it is currently possible to use Debian repos or not. There used to be problems with this combination.

I don't use LMDE anymore, even if it is stilll on my netbook. I only use that when travelling and it will get a fresh install of Sparky in April.
