Compiz help

i am looking to mess around with compiz settings, but the compiz settings app in my menu bar never opens when i try to open it. help?

you can try running the command for compiz settings from command line. To get the command, right click on mint menu and select edit. in the edit menu box, select the compiz config entry and click on properties button on the right hand side. Command field has the command for this.

Now open a terminal and run the command. You can find the errors here. based on this you can search net OR post here.

Also you may try installing adnanced compiz config tool from synaptic package manager.

when attempting to run compiz config in terminal, the following error shows up

TypeError: an integer is required
