update-initramfs error [SOLVED]

Post by cecar »

I get an error when running....

Code: Select all

sudo update-initramfs -u
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.32-5-686
[: 71: /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume: unexpected operator
I edited the file /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume because hibernate did not work because it contained wrong UUID. Hibernate works now but sudo update-initramfs -u generates an error.

Anyone got an idea what can be wrong?

//Thanks

I fixed it..
I renamed the resume file to rename.bak

run sudo update-initramfs -u. Generated no errors.

Renamed resume.bak back to resume.

run sudo update-initramfs -u. Generated no errors.

Well i dont know why it got fixed but it did.. :)
