Hallo.
I use lmde 201012 and I have the following problem:

When I suspend the system, at resume the system doesn't prompt login password.
At gconf-editor > apps > gnome-power-manager > lock the suspend and hibernate option is ticked but it looks like there is a broken link.

One solution is to tick the option "lock screen when screensaver is active" but this conflicts screensaver too.

Any idea or should i report as a bug?

What you could do is check in your log file viewer under pm-suspend log (and possibly look at messages log file too) to see if there's anything that would point to an issue or problem. Mine has info. from a recent hibernate and thaw as it's calling it, with various processes and the word 'success' after it. If you have any lines that show something else, you might want to post them here and see if someone with more experience has some input or suggests a bug report.
