[SOLVED] help, I accidentally deleted a file....

Postby kbkatz1 on Fri Mar 25, 2011 9:48 pm

I was trying to remove every aspect of ATI Catalyst drivers for my Radeon 9700. I read in a forum (not this one) to run sudo sh /usr/shrare/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh through the Terminal. When I did this it caused the Chromium web browser to stop working (and who knows what else). If I run chromium-browser through the Terminal I get this error:
Code: Select all
ken@Dell-Dimension ~/Desktop $ chromium-browser
/usr/lib/chromium-browser/chromium-browser: error while loading shared libraries: libatiuki.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I have tried to uninstall/reinstall Chromium but it still does not work. Firefox still works though. Any suggestions?

This seems to have worked to fix my problem:
