Resetting Conpiz and Monitors

Postby wyrdoak on Thu Jul 14, 2011 11:45 pm

I've been testing the new LMDE, the main glitch I seem to be having is having to hit the Compiz applet to reset Compiz when I get to my desk top to get the effects going. Not a big glitch. But would like to know if there is a fix I'm overlooking.

But other than gdm3 not setting the resolution right for the external monitor when plugged in, everything else seems to be running 5X5. The Laptop monitor has the proper resolution when I use it, it's just the external in gdm3, on the desktop it's at the proper resolution.

Since I seem to be able to access the whole LMDE partition from the Linux Mint 10 partition I just set up auto logon so I don't have to look at the gdm3.

That's OK for in LMDE I can't get to my encrypted home directory in Mint 10 from the LMDE partition anyway even with my password.
