LMDE does not want to reboot/restart

Hi
I am not sure if it is a bug and I should put it on lunchpad.
My LMDE opens just fine, shuts down just fine, but restarting does not work. I took a picture, of how it leaves me.
When I just turn it off now and on again, does not seem to cause any problems.

Could you tell me what information should I give, in the future, when I talk about problems. And possibly where to find them?

The default for Debian-based installs is a 'quick-reboot' style. Go into the Package Manager and uninstall kexec-tools.

Or from a terminal prompt

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get purge kexec-tools
