What is this?
(gedit:5889): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Failed to connect to the session manager: None of the authentication protocols specified are supported
I downloaded virtualbox via the terminal (4.0) and had the debian squeeze repository enabled for the download. Afterward I took that repository back out of my source list because it called for a lot of updates that I didnt want. Now I get this message when I type:
gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
And I have now, 1 file asking me to update and its called: Debian-system-adjustments 2011.10.05
Do I need to download that file?
Thanks.

Re: strange message in terminal
I am sorry to be "bumping" this thread, but I was just wondering if no one has addressed this issue because they don't know what it is , or is it because its such a no brainer that I should be able to find the answer on my own? I ask this with all due respect, I assure you. I can't seem to find anything at all about this on this forum, ubuntu forum or google. Thank you.
Re: strange message in terminal
I think this warning can be ignored.
For the record I get the same error, running Arch Linux.
