Hi,
I decided to give lmde a try and it blows my head. I can't install anything I want, including eclipse, wine, gnome-shell, lightdm, lamp and other stuff. So I guess is missing a few repositories. Anyone can help me with that? So far what I tried broke my system, especially gnome-shell.
I thought LMDE will be something similar with Arch Linux but seems like there is a long road to walk
Thanks

You have to keep in mind, that LMDE is based on Debians Testing branch.
Several of the Apps/programs mentioned are not in the Debian repros - for a reason ... they do not comply with or are not acceptable with Debian 'standards'
Hence, they must be installed from a 3rd-party source/repro.
You might consult the "Giant Debian Sources.List" > http://sites.google.com/site/mydebiansourceslist/
