Hi. I didn't know exactly where to post this, but this is where the Debian guys live so it is probably "newbie" to them
Anyway. I am looking for a way to remove the application buttons from the gnome panel in LMDE. I am using Docky so they are just annoying and make things ugly. How to remove them?

Right-click on the spot just a few pixels to the left of the left-most application button on the panel. It should pop-up a context menu, where the bottom entry is "Lock To Panel" (else try again a few pixels left or right, you missed the correct spot). Uncheck the "Lock To Panel". Then do the right-click again, and now you can select "Remove From Panel".
