As a newbie who has just installed LMDE I am fully aware that it is NOT Ubuntu - but haven't quite worked out all the implications yet.
I would like to use BlueGriffon - the new wysiwyg HTML editor (I currently use Kompozer) - but the current .deb versions say they are for Ubuntu not Debian. Since nothing comes up in 'Software Manager' I assume that I have to wait for 'real' Debian version to be built.

Re: BlueGriffon on LMDE ?
Hi,
I personally downloaded the 64 bit installer labelled ubuntu 10.10 and it runs beautifully on LMDE. Now I should mention I am trackng testing and running Gnome Shell, but it shouldnt matter.
Download it and run from the command line
sudo ./BlueGriffon-1.2.1-Linux-x86_64-Install
An amazing little windows XP like install screen comes up complete with next, next, next, finish.
Enjoy
