it is an improvement on the typography. I think you are right to keep polishing - it's all excellent though :)

You and sputty01 (plus others) have left me no choice but to have an automatic desktop changer as choosing 1 desktop picture is now impossible.

I think, jernau, that your mint leaf is a perfect logo for this distro.

I have copied the wallpapers and logo.

@Jernau
For the moment we have no answer from Clem (or have i missing something?), how much he like or hate the new/other Logo, so i ask you, have you send him already a e-mail?? or a e-mail to Husse? if it his important Husse will send the message to the private mail from Clem.

I emailed Clem about my Linux Mint 6 proposal in November, but unfortunately I haven't received a reply (presumably because he's been busy moving house / preparing Felicia).

I'm a little surprised that Clem hasn't at least dropped by this thread with a comment; especially because most of the new wallpapers are being created with a variation of the new logo (i.e. we could all be wasting effort if there's no plan to switch).

I'm a big fan of the Emerald theme Radial. :)

true, but look

Hi Phonicboom,

I have also found this leaf design on a graphics companies website . . . .
http://www.fastergraphics.com/logo.htm
Sorry, but I have no idea how to paste the actual logo/picture here.
The one in question is on the third row down second in from the left.

This one looks very like the 'proposed' new leaf design.

Edit.
There is also a similar blue version on this site
http://argumentproperties.blogspot.com/
Just scroll down to just below the first four photos.

Very elegant! And great that you worked with more than just the logotyp, the whole is important. To bad that it didn't become official, I really like it.

Very elegant wallpaper, thanks. I use both grub and the main wallpaper, but I can't make splash working in LMDE. Does anybody know how to make it work in LMDE?
