This is a wallpaper I made for the new star trek theme autocrosser and I are putting togeather.

It can be downloaded here

Maybe there will more trekkie wallpapers done before theme is finished and will be added in a package.
Im thinking of trying a klingon one later one (wallpaper and theme) I think I could come up with some cool designs for that idea.
Enjoy

Nice wallpapaper.

If you are puting together a Startrek theme, you should check out the LCARS wallpapers and system sounds available at Gnome-look.org.

http://gnome-look.org/content/search.php?xsortmode=new&search=1&type=0&user=&text=LCARS&sort=0&scorefilter=0&license=99&page=0.

Lots of good stuff there. Nothing Klingon though.

Ugh... *nerdgasm* :D

I just don't like the translucent symbol behind the front one, it is very hard to see and looks more like a dust stain on my monitor (I almost tried wiping it). I'd either remove it, or make it opaque (or at least less translucent, so you can see it instead of just it's edges).

lol ya I was thinking the same thing, Maybe I'll do one of each give folks a choice, love the nerdgasm

thanks aging technogeek, autocrosser already sent me those files, I checked them out already but this is a theme I made for the wife that I was going to make a blue version of it and add some different things to it, autocrosser suggested to make it a trekkie theme instead but keep the blue, LCARS is pretty much a trek monitor screen I was thinking of doing the same thing but I want to keep it blue instead, maybe use the random wallpaper though and add some more blue based wallpapers for it, sound effects I'll link to LCARS for that stuff.
Heres the pink version I made for the wife Spacey Pink
Hopefully I can make it look good as a blue trekkie screen viewer :D

@ Vincent Vermeulen
I took your advice, the download now includes all three versions in all three sizes.
One as it was, one with no communicator badge at all, one with a bolder communicator badge
Now everyone has a choice :D

lol if you got gnome 3 you'll have a new shell as well soon lol
There is also one image with just the background now also in all three sizes.
Also I put up a work in progress for the theme being created for this wallpaper.
It can be viewed and critiqued to death here

No problem, I'll make a gtk for it also just waiting for gnome 3.2 to come out otherwise I'll have to redo it anyhow.

Just wanted to add my compliments. Very nice work...

But as Aging Technogeek observed, more Klingon stuff is needed! :D
Um... you have a back-up copy,right?

Thanks glad you like it, hopefully I can get some time to put together a klingon one once gnome 3.2 comes out, I have yet to see one.

As a big Star Trek fan I have to say that this stuff is really fine looking and not just the Trek logo, but the Pink space theme is awesome looking as well! If I were a user of Gnome 3 i'd easily try these out, but for now i'm still in Gnome 2 Mint.

You mentioned a Klingon theme perhaps? I used to have a really cool artlogo for one which I was going to link you, but I seemed to have lost it. Here is a good image of the logo itself though: http://yfrog.com/n4tuchd0156j

Also you might check out these 2 KDE themes for some inspiration as well:

Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the cooment.
Unfortunately I stopped making wallpapers and themes for now as I have to get together some android livewallpapers which is taking up all my time lately.
Plus I switched to xfce to use as a workstation as I find it a lot quicker which is what I need to do all this stuff so no gnome 3 or gnome 2 themes for the time being, but once I get caught up on all these livewallpapers hopefully I can get back to making more wallpapers and themes but I thanks you for the comments.
