bug report - CUPS - lpadmin

Postby funnyman on Wed Mar 13, 2013 8:10 am

Hello, there is a bug in Cups managing, you cannot manage printers because "user is not in lpadmin groups".
I was unable to setup my printer and i found a workaround of this, but for a newbie user, it can be very difficult.

So it is necessary to open Ovládací centrum (system center in En maybe?), then users and groups(?) and then manage groups. here I found "lpadmin" group, open it and add my login in it.

It should be fixed IMHO in next system update.

Cheers

sudo adduser <yourusername> lpadmin

type it in a terminal and replace <yourusername> with your actual user name.
