I have been wanting to install a Debian based OS for a while and I immdentally decided on Linux Mint Debian Edition! Well I wanted the KDE destop so i went to the topic of the Unoffical KDE for LMDE and I found that it had been changed to Solydxk! Well I installed it and it went quite smooth but partitioning take a long while.(3hours!)
Anyway I am just wondering about Solydxk. What benefits will I get from installing it rather than simply installing KDE after installing LMDE. Is Clem also working on Solydxk, too? I noticed there are some Linux mint icons in Solydk and Update manger looks alot like mints( It even has Remeo in the Software Sources)
Should i install LMDE then KDE or install Solydxk? Reason I am asking is because Solydxk is only like 4months old
Does LMDE get more up to date packages or are they the same on SolydXK

i believe most of those questions should be asked in the respective forums
