Liquorix patch

Postby Aradan on Thu Sep 08, 2011 11:14 am

Hi, i'm using the liquorix kernel 3.0.0-6 and i decided to visit the page of the project
I would like to know if it's necessary to install a 3.0.4 patch that is there and what changes has it :o

Thanks in advance
Dave

You would probably find it better to ask on the Liqourix page than here. I have been considering installing the Liqourix kernel for a bit of a laugh, but I would certainly ask the people who wroted it, rather than relying on, possibly personally biased, personal opinions on here.

Hi Dave.

Not quite clear on your question.
The latest Liquorix kernel is =

Linux 3.0.0-4.dmz.2-liquorix (synaptic calls it 3.0.0-8 under "version")

If this is the kernel your talking about it not a "patch" it a new kernel.

As Simon said, I beleive you will get your best advice from the Liquorix forum.

Good Luck.

Thanks for yours answers.
Yes, in the repository is 3.0.0-8 but in the official page there's a patch, i just wanted to know why is it sepparated from kernel and if it had some improvement to the system.
I'll take a look to the Liquorix forum, i hadn't found it.
