LMDE with Gnome *and* XFCE

I have installed LMDE/Gnome on my HP mini laptop. Is it possible to install XFCE on same machine so I can choose on login which desktop I'd like to use?

Yes.
Just install xfce4 then at boot select an Xfce session.
