An overdue thankyou!

I just want to say a massive thanks to all of you who have been active in developing LMDE, and Linux Mint in general.

I tried installing Debian some years ago, I think the release was "Woody" at that time, and never really got anywhere with it. Later, I gave Ubuntu a spin, but it didn't quite click, I still felt more at home and more productive in Windows. That began to change when I started dual booting between Windows 7 and the Linux Mint main edition last year. Now, about the only reason I have kept my system dual boot is because I can't get all the simulation games I like to play working well under Wine or Play On Linux.

When I was writing a dissertation and a raft of essays and reports recently, it is no accident that I was booting into LMDE to get the job done. It has become the place I feel most at home to work and play in. I particularly enjoy MATE with the taskbar set at the top of the screen and docky at the bottom with easy access to all my favourite programs. Cinnamon is sweet, too.

As soon as my funds permit, I should like to make a suitable donation as a gesture of my appreciation. In the meantime, for what it's worth, you each and every one of you have earned a great deal of admiration and gratitude from my behalf. Thank you!

I agree wholeheartedly. I often find myself missing the Mint menu when using Windows (and even other Linux Distributions).
