Disappointing reactions to new ISO's or update issues

PC one
A:- Graphics.
I jumped at the chance to use Cinnamon on my main/multimedia PC when it came out.
Tried to use the rolling concept and just went for Update 6 and followed instructions.
Cinnamon would not work.
Thought I had done something wrong so decided to re-install.
Still had Graphic problems which meant for sometime I could not even start in cinnamon but in the end found that mdm was in fact the problem.
DDM just came out and I offered feedback but recommended drivers only stop X from starting. In the end I managed to get the ATI drivers to work with the catalyst software.
DDM does not even recognize them.
In all graphics drivers and desktops I have the same "screen snap shot issue" where if I select all / window / or area I get exactly that but an image that was there at least 5 minuets ago.
Unable to move the menu bar from my projector to my monitor.
Plus if i hover over the menu the whole screen starts flashing. ( it happens on projector and monitor HDMI out and DVI )
Decided to clean re install drivers.......never worked gave up re installed using newest iso.
live ok
install ok
use DDM to update drivers now the flashing is back and no it does not show the official ati/amd drivers in list. ( They do exist and work better then recommended ones )
B: Audio
I use multiple sound cards because i route my signals to varying systems for many different reasons, Because of the lack of function in the supplied sound manager I have to use pavucontrol.( why it is not default mixer I do not understand ).
Since update 6 I have not had any system alert sounds as they are grayed out.
I can not get rear sound out of my 5.1 sound blaster live card and the other channels are distorted. ( no it's not the card have tried one identical card and one other type same problem )
Everything else I wish to do with my all my sounds cards work 100%
PC two
cinnamon just doesn't work out of the box and defaults to mate ...ok but DDM says I should install an other driver which results in X not starting.
Have raised the issue with DDM in here and provided logs but no reaction.
PC Three
cinnamon just doesn't work out of the box and defaults to mate ...ok but DDM says I should install an other driver which results in X not starting.
This PC has an Intel GMA500 chip which is used by many notebook/laptop manufactures.
Have raised the issue with DDM in here and provided logs but no reaction.
Tried to install the most resent iso and all I get is a teletext type flashing screen just by starting up ( even compatibility mode) I have Never had any mint distro not boot to live before.
Summary
DDM is great idea and the maker has taken on a mammoth task but it is not ready to be distributed in the main iso yet, as any beginner following it's advice would be left with a dead system in a mater of minutes with no clue as to what they did wrong.......kind of defeats the object of the thing in the first place!
A iso that does not live boot on a EEEPC 1201HA but does the iso before is just NOT OK !
A sound issue like not having your standard sounds just because you did an official update your system is NOT OK
Conclusion
I love mint and switched to LMDE like a flash ....yes rough edges but no problem "challenge accepted" BUT.....
Re install on top ( leave HOME intact ) or even full clean re install ( wipe / and home ) basic things just don't work.
I am serious thinking of switching back to Mint because of all the issue caused since update 6 and the fact that hardly anyone reacts any more to serious update issues.
I also have to add that these days the IRC chat room is a waste of time as well.
I hope all of what I say is rubbish and I pray that I am the odd one out so this is why I have to say
"Disappointing reactions to new ISO's or update issues".
