Yeah, I'm getting the same message, getting fallback mode instead. It's to do with graphics card in my case, I need the non-free drivers to get it working, apparently, so I'm going to give it a try later. The KDE Wheezy worked fine live though.NewDisciple wrote:Tried the Gnome Live DVD. "Gnome 3 Failed to load."

Sure. If one exercises some care, it can be smooth sailing. Anyone who uses testing and/or sid and/or experimental should know what they are up against. Those not willing to take the risk, can wait for the UP'srop75 wrote: Testing tends to be hectic and risky the weeks just after the release of stable, and, this time the freezing has been really long so next weeks are gonna be really fun for testing users: Testing/sid users are going to move from kernel 3.2 to 3.8, from GNOME 3.2 to 3.8, libreoffice from 3.5 to 4, xorg from 1.12 to 1.14... in just a few weeks.
FWIW, I always run the liquorix kernels on all my machines. Currently, running 3.8-13, libreoffice 4.0.3.
