Will new LMDE stable be upgradeable?
Will new LMDE stable be upgradeable? I was first drawn to LMDE because I like Mint but didn't like that it wasn't easily updateable when new versions came out, nor was it recommended. I liked the stability of the semi-rolling release model that updated every so many months. Will LMDE use an update pack type system to jump from one stable debian version to another without reloading from scratch?

Debian stable is upgradeable, so yes I think LMDE based on Debian stable will be upgradeable without reinstalling also. LMDE won't use update packs though; you get updates from Debian stable and Linux Mint repos directly (the mix of the two is what makes LMDE). For Debian stable it is a bit more involved than with update packs, but with estimated 3 years or so to go till the next next Debian stable release--there's enough time for LMDE team to figure out if they can improve on that.
