come to irc.oftc.net (that's where #smxi is, not the url posted I think
FYI irc.debian.org points to OFTC :)

From irssi:
For Debian specific help type "/connect irc.debian.org", and "/join #debian" (without the quotes) and ask your question
while FREENODE has: Pointers to freenode currently include irc.ghostscript.com, irc.gnu.org, irc.handhelds.org, irc.linux.org, irc.kde.org and irc.redhat.com

h2,

Greetings and salutations.

Welcome to the Linux Mint forums. As you may have gathered, I am an admirer of your work and have recommended it before in this forum. Mint's demographic includes many new Linux users who are not prepared to recognize or trouble shoot potential problems or conflicts. In my opinion, this is where your scripts really become valuable and take a lot of the pain out of upgrading a rolling Debian distro.

I don't have a problem with craigevil. We just got off on the wrong foot a little bit. But as far as I am concerned that's fixed and forgotten. He is certainly welcome here and any input he chooses to give will be appreciated. I tend to be old school in almost every sense of the word. But I do like to think that I am still open minded enough to be able to learn new tricks once in a while. :-)

I hope you will see fit to visit with us often. I am not as active here as I once was, as real life has demanded more of my time. But I think you will find a completely different atmosphere from what you have experienced in other forums. Most of it for the better.

Enjoy life, it is too short to do otherwise. :-)

Fred

Of course it's so complicated and full of foolishness!!!

What should I keep to make it rolling as it should be, noting that I will use smxi for updating!!!
Merry Christmas and happy new year for all of you :D
