I was wondering if it will be possible to release a Mint debian stable edition based on the latest squeeze. I am using mint debian on my laptop and am pretty impressed by it. However for the desktop servers I have to use either Mint 9 - stable or have to go through the ordeal of configuring the debian stable edition. If Mint were to release mint debian stable edition, as the new stable versions of debian are released, it would be the best for stable server needs

The latest LMDE snapshot (2012-12/2011-01) was released before the final release of Debian Squeeze (i.e. the latest stable version). That means that as long as you haven't updated it yet, just edit /etc/apt/sources.list and change all the references of "testing" to "squeeze"; once you update your system, you'll effectively have a Debian Stable system.
