yes, choose the 'right time' to upgrade.
figure out when is the 'right time', usually you must read some upgrade warning first , or else you can get caught.

Real linux users love surprizes!

I was used on running fedora so LMDE is a rock for me!

Stopped working? Never.

Major problem? depends on your definition, the worst I had to do was edit Xorg.conf in nano one time.

I did have sound stop working on DVDs once but it was fixed the same day.
