For the Google+ invite in OP's post. This was posted at the time Google+ was in beta, and not gone public yet (so you had to be invited to join).

Oh, thanks for explaining. As I do not use any of those data collection web horrors where one can get thousands of friends but not a single one will be reliable, I usually are not interested in these topics. Albeit here I could not understand why so many expressed their gratitude for the invitation.
