Glacix 6.1 (small update)

Postby maybeway36 on Sun Mar 22, 2009 7:38 pm

Since Glacix 6.1 no longer has any seeders, I've uploaded a small, ~156MiB ISO you can use to install it. It's based on Debian lenny (now stable), and if you have Glacix installed already, a simple APT upgrade will do. This is just for new installs. Most of the .deb packages are downloaded from Debian's servers, so the install process will be somewhat slow, but the ISO download will be more reliable than using BitTorrent with few seeders or hosting a 700MB ISO.

The 6.2 version number doesn't reflect any major changes, only the new stable status of Lenny.

That link is dead.
But I searched the FileFront and found Glacix 6.2 iso. Is that the most recent Glacix release?

I think that might be an earlier one. I'll have to check.
EDIT: Yep, it's earlier. I'm not sure why I went up to 6.2 then back down to 6.1, but I'll call the new upload 6.2 to make it more logical.
EDIT2: The ISO has been re-uploaded and the link in post 1 updated.

i may send it to you via giga-mail, a service my provider offers. send me a pm with your email address (or create one only for that purpose). it worked for a few times, so im confident.
you will get a mail from my provider that youre able to download it '(for at maximum seven days).

ps: i woulnd say its worth any trouble, its pretty much of a stock debian install in my eyes.
