As you might remember, I recently overloaded (b0rked) my Debian (testing) with way too many repros and not the right ones.
I was trying to add Mint repros to my existing 'testing' reporos.
I added all the Ubuntu 9.10 & LinuxMint-8 repositories to the Debian 'testing' repositories . . . system overload!!As, Ubuntu/LinuxMInt is based off of Debian 5 -- they are not compatible.
I found out after, that it's the base Linux kernels that are not compatible.
And they tell me in the Debian User Forums that Ubuntu (LinuxMint) repositories are not compatible with Debian repros.
I think there are some that can not be mixed? But you have to know which ones.
I have re-installed by Debian 'testing' and am getting it ready for another attempt at Mint-ify-ing it.
It's all in the repository configuration?
I have also, downloaded the original Mint-Debian (Glacix 6.2) via torrent.
I want to see how and what they did, before I make another attempt.
I have also, upgraded my Debian 'testing' with the 2.6.32-7 kernel. I'm going to try to make it all work with this new Linux kernel.
If you're already using Debian 'testing' you might find this repro/sources list helpful ...
