(solved) opened ports 111, 631

Hello,

I've noticed, that these are opened after LMDE installation.
Why?
I know, that i could firewall them, but I'd like to stop the responsible services.

edit: stopped 111 by purging portmap
now, cups is listening on 631 ... any way to disable that?

On Fridays I check the unanswered posts list for any that have been solved by the OP since he/she posted,when I find them I reply to take them off the unanaswered posts list and keep the forum tidy...
