LMDE has stopped working [sort of SOLVED]

Yes, I do usually have a wifi connection. I hadn't realised the importance of using an ethernet cable. Anyway, my LMDE has now been removed.

I'm now having problems re-installing LMDE, but will persevere. It's probably something stupid - a senior moment on my part. If I can't find out what I'm doing wrong from exercising my brain or from reading notes on the forum, I may have to ask for help.

But of course that would be the subject of another thread. You can always pretend not to notice it!
